Sending invitations

Sending a new invitation depends on whether the current account context exposes the Invite members button. That capability is distinct from the invitation-row actions shown in the Team invitations table.
1

Click Invite members

Navigate to Members, then click Invite members in the Team members card. When the dialog opens, the app first checks invitation policies. If invitations are currently blocked, the dialog shows the restriction message instead of the form.
2

Enter email and role

Enter the invitee email address and choose a role from the role selector. New rows default to the Member role. The selector only shows roles allowed by your current role hierarchy. In the current UI, members can invite only Member, while owner-level contexts can choose Owner or Member.Click Add another one to add more rows. The form accepts between 1 and 5 invitations per submission. To remove a row before sending, click Remove invite next to that row.
3

Send

Click Send invites. On success, the app stores the invitations and sends invitation emails. The new invitations appear immediately in the Team invitations card with an Active status.
The form rejects duplicate email addresses in the same submission, and the server rejects invitations for users who are already members of the team.

Invitation lifecycle

StatusBadgeMeaning
ActiveGreenInvitation is valid and the link will work
ExpiredWarningInvitation has passed its expiry date and cannot be used
Invited users who have not accepted can be found in the Team invitations card. Once accepted, they move to the Team members card.

Managing pending invitations

In the current page implementation, the three-dot actions menu in Team invitations is shown only when the page has the roles.manage permission available. When that menu is available, each row can expose the following options:
ActionWhen it appearsWhat it does
Update invitationFor users who can manage invitation rowsChanges the role assigned to the pending invitation
Renew invitationFor users who can manage invitation rows, and only on expired invitationsExtends the expiry window so the invitation becomes usable again
Remove invitationFor users who can manage invitation rowsOpens the delete-confirmation flow for the pending invitation

Update invitation

Click Update invitation to open the same role picker used for member-role updates. The new role must be different from the current role. After you confirm, the pending invitation keeps the same row and uses the updated role when the invitee accepts it. The available role options follow your current role hierarchy.

Renew invitation

If an invitation has expired, click Renew invitation to extend its expiry date by 7 days.

Remove invitation

Click Remove invitation to open the delete-confirmation dialog. Confirming that dialog deletes the invitation. Once removed, that invitation no longer appears in the Team invitations table.
